UNITED STATES AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team suffered a 2-0 loss to Atlantic Hockey opponent Air Force on Friday.
Goaltender
Garrett Metcalf had 27 saves for the Lakers (7-8-2, 5-5-1).
Air Force (9-6-0, 9-4-0) scored both of its goals in the second period. Kyle Haak scored on the power play before Trevor Stone tacked on the Lakers' second goal.
Air Force finished 1-for-3 on the power play while the Lakers were 0-for-3.
Billy Christopoulos was the winning goalie with 18 saves.
The same two teams will meet again on Saturday at 5:05 p.m Mountain Time (7:05 p.m. ET).
