The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team travels to Air Force for a two-game weekend series on Dec. 7-8. Puck drops at 7:35 p.m. MT (9:35 EST) on Friday and 5:05 p.m. MT (7:05 EST) on Saturday.
 
Last Time Out
The Lakers swept Bentley 5-3 and 3-2 on Nov. 30- Dec. 1.
 
Derek Barach, Joshua Lammon, Steven Ipri, James Anderson, Josh McDougall, Matthew Whittaker, Quinn Wichers, Brendan Riley and Ethan Johnson recorded points for Mercyhurst.
 
Garrett Metcalf made 27 saves during the Lakers 5-3 win on Friday while Stefano Cantali made 28 saves during the Lakers 3-2 win on Saturday.
 
Previous Matchup
The Lakers and Falcons met twice last season at Air Force. The Lakers won 1-0 on Jan. 5, before falling 5-1 the next night.
 
Joseph Duszak and Taylor Best picked up points for Mercyhurst. Colin DeAugustine made five saves in a relief effort on Saturday night.
 
Trevor Stone, Pierce Pluemer, Alex Mehnert, Zack Mirageas and Evan Giesler tallied points for Air Force. In net, Billy Christopoulos made 44 saves for the Falcons.

Mercyhurst trails the all-time series 18-14-3, including a 3-7-0 record in the last ten meetings.
 
Scouting Air Force
The Falcons are coming into the weekend series with a 8-6-0, 8-4-0 record. They are coming off of a weekend sweep of RIT, winning 3-1 and 3-0.
 
Evan Feno is leading the Falcon roster with eight goals and 11 points. Matt Koch is next with nine points and Kieran Durgan has eight points.
 
Christopoulos has earned a 6-2-0 record with a 1.89 goals against average and .928 save percentage. Zack LaRocque has a 2-2-0 record, 3.10 GAA and .857 save percentage.
 
Air Force is ranked fourth on the penalty kill going 87.9 percent and ranked 17th in the nation on the power play with 20.7 percent.

Barach is on top of the Laker roster with eight goals and 16 points. Duszak is next with 15 points and leads the roster with 12 assists. Whittaker is close behind with 11 points.
 
Cantali has put forth a 4-5-1 record with a 2.86 GAA and .903 save percentage. Metcalf has earned a 3-1-0 record, 2.48 GAA and .912 save percentage. DeAugustine has a 0-1-1 record, 6.36 GAA and .852 save percentage.

Barach was named the NCAA First Star of the Week for his efforts during the Lakers sweep of Bentley.

Barach was also named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week.

Dalton Hunter is tied for 22nd in the nation with 0.71 points per game for a freshman.

Barach recorded his first career hat trick during the Lakers 5-3 win over Bentley. He also added two goals during Saturday's 3-2 win.
