Men's Basketball Travels to Lock Haven

The Mercyhurst men's basketball team will be on the road again as they take on Lock Haven on Sunday.  The Lakers will be looking to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season to East Stroudsburg.

  • The Lakers are coming off a tough loss to East Stroudsburg 78-61. Jason Massey was the Lakers leading scorer with 18 points Derrick Ellis Jr. the next top scorer with 10. 
  • Against East Stroudsburg, the Lakers shot 43% from the field and struggled from behind the arc shooting 4-16 (25%). The Lakers got down early to the Warriors and with many efforts and runs to catch them, East Stroudsburg was able to answer right back with runs of their own.  The Warriors never trailed in the game and shot 54% from the field and out rebounded the Lakers 35-25.
  • Mercyhurst leads the series against Lock Haven 15-5 with their record on the road being 5-3. The Lakers will look to make it six overall road wins in this conference matchup.
  • Next Up: The Lakers will host Bloomsburg on Saturday Dec. 8th, at 3 PM.
