Mercyhurst trailed 16-9 before going on a 12-point run, getting 10 points from Oswalt during that stretch. The Lakers led the rest of the way.

After taking a 27-23 lead into halftime, the Lakers scored the first 10 points of the second half. Komendarek had four points while Kunst and Nicolete Newman buried 3-pointers during the streak. Mercyhurst's lead held in double-figures until the final buzzer.
