ERIE, Pa. --
Jason Massey recorded a double-double worth 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Mercyhurst men's basketball team claimed a 110-80 victory over Kutztown during Tuesday's non-conference contest at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.
MiyKah McIntosh and
Trystan Pratapas added 19 points apiece and
Kordell Holness-Lightbody chipped in with 18 for the Lakers (7-1), who reached the 110-point mark for the first time since a 110-101 overtime victory over Salem-Teikyo (now known as Salem) on Dec. 4, 1993.
McIntosh and
Derrick Ellis Jr. finished with five and four assists, respectively.
For the Bears (6-5), Anthony Lee led the way with 26 points and Moe Williams chipped in with 20.
With the contest tied at 18-all, the Lakers enjoyed a 19-5 stretch and led the rest of the way. Holness-Lightbody had six points during the stretch.
After Mercyhurst led 37-23, Kutztown closed the gap to three points before it was outscored 69-42 for the remainder of the game.
The Lakers will return to action on Wednesday with a 3 p.m. PSAC home contest against Mansfield.
