Men's Ice Hockey Travels to St. Lawrence

The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team heads to Canton, N.Y. for a single non-conference matchup with St. Lawrence on Nov. 10. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
 
Last Time Out
Mercyhurst hosted RIT for a two-game weekend series and took away three points. The Lakers defeated RIT 4-3 on Friday before tying 2-2 the next night.
 
Wes Baker recorded three goals, Tommaso Bucci and Joseph Duszak had one goal and two assists, Joshua Lammon tallied four assists, Taylor Best tallied one goal and James Anderson, Matthew Whittaker and Dalton Hunter each had one assist.
 
Stefano Cantali made 53 saves in net for Mercyhurst.
 
Previous Matchup
Mercyhurst and St. Lawrence have met once in program history during the 2003-04 season. St. Lawrence came out on top with a 5-2 win.

Scouting St. Lawrence
St. Lawrence is coming into the game with a 1-7-0 record. It is coming off of a 3-2 loss to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
 
The Saints are riding a five-game losing streak. Their only win of the season came to AHA member, Holy Cross.
 
Carson Gicewicz is leading the roster with five assists and six points. Keenan Suthers, Ryan Garvey and Jake Stevens are next with three points each.
 
In net, Arthur Brey has a 1-6-0 record with a 3.67 goals against average and .908 save percentage. Daniel Mannella has earned a 0-1-0 record, 4.07 GAA and .892 save percentage.
 
The Saints are tied for 49th in the nation on the power play going 13.3 percent. They are tied for 46th on the penalty kill with 75.6 percent.
 
A Look at the Lakers
Mercyhurst is coming into the game with a 2-5-2 record.
 
Duszak is on top of the Laker roster with eight assists and ten points. Lammon is next with seven points and close behind are Best, Hunter and Barach with six points each.
 
Between the pipes, Cantali has earned a 2-3-1 record, 2.61 GAA and .909 save percentage. Colin DeAugustine has put forth a 0-1-1 record with a 5.98 GAA and .860 save percentage and Garrett Metcalf has a 0-1-0 record, 7.50 GAA and .783 save percentage.
 
Duszak is ranked 15th in the nation with 1.11 points per game as a defenseman.
 
Mercyhurst is ranked 56th on the power play with 9.3 percent and ranked 44th on the penalty kill going 76.1 percent.

Baker recorded his first career hat trick during the Lakers 4-3 win over RIT on Friday.
 
AHA Defensive Player of the Week
Duszak was named the AHA Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts against RIT. He recorded one goal and two assists.
