ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team dropped a 7-1 contest to Atlantic Hockey opponent Robert Morris on Saturday at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
Joshua Lammon scored the Lakers' lone goal, getting assists from
Joseph Duszak and
Taylor Best.
Mercyhurst (5-7-2, 3-4-1) trailed 4-0 through two periods before Lammon found the net with a backhand 14 seconds into the third. Best started the play, intercepting the puck in the neutral zone before sliding the puck to Duszak, who passed to Lammon in the slot.
Justin Addamo led RMU with two goals while single goals were recorded by Daniel Mantenuto, Nick Prkusic, Kip Hoffman, Kyle Horsman and Michael Coyne.
Mercyhurst goaltending duties were split by
Stefano Cantali and
Colin DeAugustine. Cantali had 20 saves through two periods before DeAugustine made 12 stops in the third.
Francis Marotte had 25 saves for Robert Morris (5-6-1, 4-3-1).
The Lakers will return to action on Nov. 30-Dec. 1 with a pair of Atlantic Hockey road contests at Bentley.
