ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team will host non-conference opponent Daemen on Wednesday at 7 p.m. the contest will be the second of four straight home games for the Lakers.

- The Lakers are coming off a season-opening 95-36 win over Fredonia. Jason Massey scored 17 points, leading a quintet of Laker scorers in double-figures. Trystan Pratapas added 16 points while Patrick Smith and Nicholas Lang put in 13 apiece. MiyKah McIntosh added 11 points.
- Against Fredonia, the Lakers had a strong showing on offense in the first half, making 19 of 27 field goals (70.4 percent), including 10 of 14 from three-point land (71.4). That helped host Mercyhurst to a 63-15 halftime lead over the Blue Devils.
- Mercyhurst leads the all-time series against Daemen, 18-1. The Lakers are 12-0 all-time at home against the Wildcats. Daemen's lone win was a 69-63 victory on Nov. 23, 2013.
Tickets: $6 for adults, $3 for non-Mercyhurst students, free for Mercyhurst students, free for children 6-and-under.
