The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team opens its 2018-2019 campaign on Oct. 6 with a non-conference game against Bowling Green. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.

Last Time They Met 
Bowling Green holds a 1-0-0 record against Mercyhurst.

Mercyhurst goaltender Colin DeAugustine stopped 29 of 32 shots in the losing effort for the Lakers. 

The Lakers and Falcons met during last season when Mercyhurst fell 3-0.

Pierre-Luc Mercier, Mark Freidman, and Tyler Spezia scored for the Falcons. Goaltender Chris Nell was perfect in net with 22 saves.

Laker Lineup 
The Lakers return 17 skaters to their lineup from last season along with 11 new skaters looking to make their mark. Among the returnees are senior captains Derek Barach and Josh Lammon. Barach led the team in points last season with 38 while Lammon chipped in 19 points. He also led the team in faceoff percentage at .522. 

Scouting Bowling Green
Bowling Green returns 21 skaters from their 2017-2018 squad and welcomed in only 7 freshmen.

Alec Rauhauser and Brandon Kruse, the Falcons leading point scorers last season with 39 and 33 respectively, will be back this season looking to improve on the teams 10-8-1 road record from this past season. 

Next Up
The Lakers will travel to the Erie Insurance Arena to take part in the Icebreaker Tournament on Oct. 12-13. Mercyhurst will faceoff against Notre Dame on Friday at 7:05 p.m. before playing either Miami (Ohio) or Providence on Saturday.
