The Mercyhurst field hockey will host their first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference game of the season as they take on Mansfield on Wednesday, afternoon. The Lakers (3-4, 0-1 PSAC) are coming off of a 5-0 win over Molloy College, while Mansfield (4-4, 0-1 PSAC) fell 3-1 to (#2) Shippensburg this past weekend.
The Lakers are led by sophomore
Clare Ahern, who has posted three goals and four assists on the season.
Bryna Cook and
Paige Albright have posted two goals each for Mercyhurst this season.
Nicolette Tomani, has posted one gal and two assists while,
Taylor Balser and
Leah Rogers, each have contributed one goal and one assist for the Lakers. Mercyhurst has seen goal production from
Katie Lechner,
Jessica David,
Hayley Skidmore, and
Alexis Skibitsky.
Victoria Triaga has been the primary goalie for the Lakers she ahs posted 31 saves and allowed 19 goals in the seven games she has played for the Lakers.
Mansfield is led by Larissa Motts, who has scored five goals and notched one assist on the season. Amber Prince, Katie Jamison, Meghan Griffin, and Katie Lipski round out the top five scorers each having a goal and an assist. Brittany Ryan is the starting goalkeeper for Mansfield she has allowed ten goals and posted 80 saves though her eight games in net.
