The Mercyhurst volleyball team will begin Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play on the road this weekend as they take on two conference opponents, Millersville and Shippensburg. Mercyhurst (5-6), who is coming off of a 3-0 performance in the Notre Dame (Oh.) Invitational, will square off against Millersville (7-1) Friday night at 7:00 pm, and will take on Shippensburg (7-5) on Saturday at 1 pm. 

Mercyhurst is led by junior Shelby Chesko who has posted 124 kills on the season over the 11 games played, she has also recorded four solo block ans 25 block assists. Katie Baird has earned 91 kills, while Alyssa Zirnheld rounds out the top three offense players with 89 kills. Makayla Mollé contributed the most assists with 252.  Alyssa Kling is the top blocker for the Lakers who has posted six solo blocks and 28 block assists. Hannah Vuylsteke leads in digs with 150 for the season. 

Through the 2016 season Mercyhurst swept Millersville 3-0 in their only contest against the team. However the Lakers fell to Shippensburg 0-3 last season.
