ERIE, Pa. -- Oran Horn scored three goals while top point-getter Keyan McQueen totaled two goals and three assists as the seventh-ranked Mercyhurst men's lacrosse team defeated Indianapolis, 12-10, in a non-conference matchup on Saturday at Tullio Field.

Kurtis Woodland, Colin Greenway, James Crowe, Myles Young, Brett Benzinger, Sam Crusha and Derek Richards added single goals for the Lakers (8-2), who trailed by three in the second half before enjoying a decisive 7-1 run.

Woodland made two assists while Greenway, Crowe, Young and Richards had one apiece.

Matt Wells was the winning goalie in net, finishing with four saves in a relief effort. He played the final three quarters.

Joe Cerio picked up four groundballs and was 12 of 21 in the faceoff circle. Wells, Benjamin Brooks and Alex Misterman had three groundballs apiece.

The visiting Greyhounds (6-4) jumped ahead in the first quarter, going on a 4-1 stretch of their own to take a 5-3 lead through one period.

UIndy continued to hold its lead, taking a 7-5 score into halftime, before widening the gap to 8-5.

At that point, the Lakers made their push. Greenway, Benzinger and Crowe scored consecutive goals as Mercyhurst tied the game at 8-all.

The Greyhounds grabbed the lead again on a goal by Tyler Johnston in the third quarter, but Mercyhurst responded with the next four tallies.

Horn tied the game at 9-9 with 1:42 left in the third quarter. McQueen then scored a man-up goal to put the Lakers ahead for good with 1:16 left in the third. Young and Crusha followed with insurance goals.

Sam Horning was the leading goal-scorer for Indianapolis. He had three tallies in support of goalie Jarod Kimble, who totaled eight saves.

The Lakers will return to action on Tuesday when they visit Ohio Valley for a 4 p.m. Great Midwest Athletic Conference contest.
