VIENNA, W. Va. -- The seventh-ranked Mercyhurst men's lacrosse team rolled to a 20-4 victory against Ohio Valley in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup on Tuesday.
Top point-getter
Derek Richards dished five assists while
Kurtis Woodland and
Keyan McQueen scored four goals each.
Michael Convery and
Ben Smith-Wilcox put in three and two goals, respectively.
Single goals were recorded by
Evan Hollfelder,
Dom Perna,
Ryan Vitale,
James Crowe,
Colin Greenway,
Oran Horn and
Austin Robare. Vitale alaso had four groundballs.
Convery and Hollfelder made two assists apiece. Woodland,
John Plaskey and
Kevin Vaughn also had assists.
Matt Wells was the winning goalie with two saves.
William Koester stopped five shots in relief.
Adam Dickson led OVU with two goals and one assist.
The Lakers (9-2, 5-0) will be in action next when they visit Roberts Wesleyan on Tuesday, Apr. 25, for a 6 p.m. non-conference game.
