Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Mercyhurst softball team dropped a pair of contests at The Spring Games. The Lakers fell to Northwood in extra innings, 3-2, and then to Northern State, 6-2.

Ellie Dougher and
Emily Hair had two hits apiece while
Meghan Maranto and
Lindsey Parese smacked doubles in a game that Northwood won in walk-off fashion.
The Lakers held a 2-0 lead before Northwood scored twice in the sixth and then once in the eighth.
Mercyhurst plated its first run in the second inning on an error.
Then, in the fifth, Parese delivered an RBI double for MU's final run.
Anna Cochis went the distance for Mercyhurst, recording four strikeouts.

After the Lakers fell behind 3-0 in the first,
Rachel DiBartolomeo had an RBI single during Mercyhurst's two-run first inning, but that accounted for MU's only runs.
NSU tacked on one insurance run in the fifth and two more in the seventh.
Heather Nye was Mercyhurst's pitcher, recording two strikeouts in seven innings of work.
