ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team host non-conference opponent Notre Dame (Ohio) for a 2 p.m. tip-off on Saturday.
The Lakers (4-4, 2-3 PSAC) have dropped three straight games -- all to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division teams (Kutztown, Mansfield, West Chester).
Lorenzo Collier currently leads Mercyhurst with 15.3 points per game while
Malcolm Walters puts in 12.9.
Patrick Smith, who has four double-doubles this season, is the leading rebounder with an average of 8.4. Smith also averages 8.5 points.
The Falcons (3-7, 1-5 MEC) have lost four straight games -- five if you count their exhibition at Cleveland State, when Notre Dame lost, 89-56. Prior to that, NDC suffered losses to four straight MEC teams: ninth-ranked Wheeling Jesuit, seventh-ranked West Liberty, West Virginia State and Charleston (W. Va.).
Notre Dame has six scorers averaging double-figures: Will Vorhees (24.3), Kyauta Taylor (20.8), Halil Parks (13.4), Drew Scarberry (12.9), Angelo Cugini (10.7) and Levi Frankland (10.0).
