The Mercyhurst volleyball team will host cross town rival Gannon on Tuesday in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play. Mercyhurst (10-16, 5-10 PSAC) is coming into this match after splitting their last week of competition, defeating Cheyney (3-0) and falling to West Chester (0-3). Mercyhurst currently rests in third in the PSAC Northwest division falling two places behind first place Gannon (23-5, 12-3 PSAC). Gannon defeated Mercyhurst three to two in a five set showdown early this season.
 
Mercyhurst is led by Shelby Chesko who has posted 267 kills for a 2.75 kills per set average, she has also contributed a pair of aces and a total of 56 blocks of which six are solo. Katie Baird has notched 212 kills on the season for a 2.26 kills per set average, she is second on the team in aces with 28 and has contributed 14 block assists. Alyssa Zirnheld rounds out the top three performers with 202 kills on the season for a 2.20 kills per set average, she has contributed 27 aces and 25 blocks.
 
 

Makayla Mollé and Abby Rose lead assists with 543, and 317 respectively, Molle also leads aces with 35. Hannah Vuylsteke has contributed the most digs with 401 on the season for a 4.09 dig per set average. Alyssa Kling leads blocks with 73, ten of which have been solo.

 
Gannon is led by Kelsey Ansec who has contributed 273 for a 3.21 kills preset average she has an ace on the season and 48 blocks. Rebekah Smith has added 204 kills for 2.12 kills per set and Ally Smith has added 191 kills and has a 2.01 kills per set average. Ashley Beyers leads aces for the Golden Knights with 38. Carolyn Knollman has contributed the most assists with 695 for a 7.90 assist per set average. Toni Leitshuh has led digs with 380, while Ashley Kerestes leads blocks with 99. Knollman and Byers lead assists with 695 and 375 respectively.
