WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst volleyball team suffered a 3-0 sweep to West Chester in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference competition on Saturday. The Lakers lost sets by scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-25-17.

Shelby Chesko led the Mercyhurst attack with nine kills while Makayla Molle made 11 assists. Hannah Vuylsteke contributed 11 digs on defense.

Karleigh Lutz had 11 kills to lead WCU. Jillian Grammer made 35 assists.

The Lakers (10-16, 5-10) will return to action on Tuesday with a 7:05 p.m. home PSAC matchup against cross-town rival Gannon.
