Setting the Stage
The Mercyhurst men's hockey team is set to take on Bentley University in its second Atlantic Hockey weekend series of the season on October 27-28 in Waltham, MA.

Last Game Recap
The Lakers and Erie Insurance Arena held its third SnowTown ThrowDown on October 20-21 against Ferris State. The weekend series was split with the Lakers falling 3-2 on Friday and winning 4-1 on Saturday.

Matthew Whittaker scored three goals during the weekend, while
Taylor Best recorded one goal and two assists.

Previous Matchup
During last season, 2016-17, Mercyhurst and Bentley split a series in Waltham, Mass. The Lakers recorded a 2-1 win before falling 2-1 the next night.

Scouting Bentley
The Falcons are on the hunt for their first win of the season with a (0-2-2, 0-2-2 AHA) record.

They are coming off of a 2-2 tie against American International College on Tuesday.

Jonathan Desbiens and Kyle Schmidt are leading the Falcons roster with three points each. Jake Kauppila is leading the team in goals scored with two.

Well Done Wildung
Brandon Wildung recorded his first win of the season on Saturday making 23 saves on 24 shots. He improved his season record to 1-1-2.

Riley is riding a four-game point streak with four points in four games. He has one goal and three assists.

Barach Leading the Pack
Barach is leading the Lakers roster with five points. He's coming into the weekend with two goals and three assists, including the game winning goal on Saturday's SnowTown ThrowDown game.

Special Teams on Fire
During the weekend series against Ferris State, the Lakers capitalized on five of their nine power plays and killed off six of their seven penalties. Five of the Lakers' six goals during the SnowTown ThrowDown were scored on the power-play.

The Lakers head to University Park, PA to take on #15 Penn State University on November 3-4. Both games start at 7:05 p.m.
