KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst field hockey team suffered a 4-0 loss to eighth-ranked Kutztown in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Wednesday.

Goaltender Sam Takac had 10 saves for the Lakers (0-8, 0-2), who were outshot 24-3.

Courtney Konowal had two goals to lead host KU (5-3, 1-1) while goalie Chardonnay Hope stopped two shots.

Mercyhurst will play next on Saturday when they host East Stroudsburg for a 1 p.m. PSAC contest. The Lakers will celebrate Senior Day.
