Box Score BLOOMSBURG Pa. – The Mercyhurst University field hockey team dropped a 1-0 match Saturday September 24th, against eighth-ranked Bloomsburg.
 
Forwards Alexis Skibitsky, and Katelyn Smith both recorded one shot on goal apiece during the game however were unable to convert these attempts into points. Goalie Sam Takac was awarded nine saves for her efforts in the net for the Lakers.
 
The game winning goal was scored by Abby Saunder of Bloomsburg, scored with 16 minutes left in the second half. An unassisted goal, made off a deflected shot from Erica Krebs.
 
The Lakers will play next Wednesday September 28th against ninth-ranked Kutztown, on the road.
