Field Hockey Falls at #3 WCU

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — The Mercyhurst field hockey team dropped a 7-0 decision to third-ranked West Chester in non-conference action on Saturday.

Goaltender Sam Takac was credited with 23 saves for Mercyhurst (0-5).

West Chester's scores came from Rachel Toppi, Marine Kusakavitch and Dayle Paustian -- each of whom recorded two goals. The other goal was scored by Kaitlin Hatch. Winning goalie Sarah Krause had two saves.

The Golden Rams (3-3) outshot Mercyhurst, 44-3.

The Lakers will play next at home when they host Seton Hill for a 4 p.m. non-conference matchup at Tullio Field.
