Mercyhurst stumbles in contest with Seton Hill

ERIE Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team lost a tough 3-2 decision at home one Tulio Field September 20th. A deadlocked game standing at two goals apiece was broken when Jaydyn Morrison of Seton Hill scored the game winning goal with just 38 seconds left in the game.

The Lakers suffered a two goal deficit after the first half of play. However during the second half Jessica Brandon scored unassisted 13 minutes into the second half, her second goal of the season. Only nine minutes later Emily Burns, scored a goal assisted by Jessica Brandon, her second goal of the season, knotting the match 2-2. Despite this Laker offense shown in the second half it was not enough to stop Seton Hill from taking the match.

The Mercyhurst Lakers field hockey team will play next at September 24th, in Bloomsburg Pa.
