ERIE, Pa. -- The seventh-ranked Mercyhurst men's lacrosse team dropped an 8-7 contest to 17th-ranked Lindenwood in an Eastern College Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday at Tullio Field. The Lakers' loss snaps their four-game winning streak.
James Crowe was Mercyhurst's leading point-getter, totaling two goals and one assist.
Connor Enright and
Keyan McQueen added two goals each for the Lakers (7-2, 3-1).
Colin Greenway also had a goal.
Sam Crusha and
Kurtis Woodland made one assist each.
Michael Poe picked up five groundballs

Matt Wells was credited with three stops.
Mercyhurst had a 3-1 lead in the first half before a 5-1 run helped the visiting Lions build a 6-4 advantage.
With under two minutes left in the contest, Mercyhurst trailed 8-5 before goals by Crowe and McQueen pulled the hosts within one, but the Lakers were unable to come up with the equalizer.
Josh Coons and Kevin Eskridge had two goals and one assist each for Lindenwood (6-3, 4-2). Ben Besancenez made 13 stops in net.
Mercyhurst outshot the Lions, 32-24, although Lindenwood held a 12-6 faceoff advantage.
The Lakers will return to action on Saturday, Apr. 9, with a 2 p.m. non-conference home game against Tampa.
