LAKERS TRAVEL TO WEST POINTThe Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team will travel to West Point, N.Y., for a weekend series against Army on Feb. 19-20.

Mercyhurst (12-9-3 AHC) is currently in fifth place in the Atlantic Hockey standings. The Lakers are coming off of two straight 2-2 ties against Niagara. Army (7-10-7 AHC) is eighth in the league after a split weekend against Robert Morris.

LAST TIME AROUNDOn Oct 23-24, the Black Knights traveled to Erie for a weekend series, in which Mercyhurst won both games.

During Friday's game, sophomore goaltender
Brandon Wildung saved 37 shots to lift the Lakers to a 4-2 victory. Mercyhurst had two goals within 1:12 of each other to put them ahead of the Black Knights. Freshman

Jack Riley grew up in West Point, watching and learning from Army's head coach Brian Riley -- or more specially known to Jack -- his father. Playing his father's team is nothing new for
Jack Riley. He has played six games against Army and all have ended in a Mercyhurst win. In those games, he has recorded two goals and three assists. Four of those five points were during the Lakers' 6-3 win over Army on Dec. 6, 2014.

BARACH LEADING THE PACKBarach is not only leading the Lakers in points, but he is also leading the rookies in the Atlantic Hockey Association with 27 points. He has 10 goals and 17 assists. Close by are Riley (26) and freshman

LANCASTER ON POINT STREAKLancaster is on a four-game point streak, including two goals and four assists. During the past two weekends, Lancaster has been an absolute powerhouse. He has had three one-point games and one three-point game.

NEXT UPThe Lakers will travel to Rochester, N.Y., on Friday, Feb. 26 to take on the Rochester Institute of Technology (13-7-4 AHC) before hosting the Tigers at the Mercyhurst Ice Center on Saturday,. Feb. 27. RIT is currently third in the Atlantic Hockey standings with 30 points.
