Lakers Take On Lindenwood in CHA Conference Battle

The Mercyhurst women's hockey team gets back to College Hockey America (CHA) conference action this weekend when it travels to Wentzville, Mo. to take on Lindenwood for two games. The first game will be played on Friday, Dec. 2 at 6:00 p.m. with the second matchup scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3 at 1:00 p.m.
 
Matchup Notes
-Mercyhurst leads the all-time series 17-2-1
-These two teams last met in January 2016 and split a two-game series.
-Lindenwood shut out the Lakers 1-0 last matchup on January 23, 2016
 
Scouting the Lions
-Lindenwood enters the weekend 2-10-2 overall and 1-4-1 in CHA play.
-The Lions are currently ranked fifth out of six teams in the CHA standings.
-Lindenwood's leading scorers are Britannia Gillanders (three goals, three assists) and Cierra Paisley (two goals, four assists) with six points each.
-Lions' net-minder Jolene deBruyn has a 2.22 goals-against average in eleven starts this season and holds a .925 save percentage.
-deBruyn holds back-to-back CHA Goalie of the Week awards entering this weekend.
-Lindenwood went 1-0-1 last weekend against Minnesota State, including scoring a season-high five goals in a 5-1 win on Nov. 25.
 
Lakers' Outlook
-Mercyhurst (5-10-1) lost its two matchups last weekend to #7 Colgate by a combined score of 9-3.
-Lakers' freshmen Michele Robillard and Celine Frappier netted their first collegiate goals against the Raiders.
-Mercyhurst is 2-2 in its last four CHA games, splitting a couple of two-game series with Penn State and Syracuse.
-Brooke Hartwick continues to lead the Lakers with 14 points, including six goals and eight assists.
