• The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team returns home for two College Hockey America Games against Penn State at Mercyhurst Ice Center on Friday and Saturday. Friday puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., while Saturday's game time is 2:00 p.m.

• The Lakers lost their first two CHA games of 2016-17 on the road at Robert Morris last weekend. Both games ended 2-1 in favor of the Colonials.

• The Nittany Lions are currently 3-5-2 overall and 2-0-0 in CHA play.
• Penn State won its two-game series against R.I.T. last weekend, outscoring the Tigers 7-0 in two games.
• The Nittany Lions are led by seniors Laura Bowman (9 goals, 6 assists, 10 game played) and Amy Petersen (7 goals 6 assists, 10 games played)
• Aside from Bowman and Petersen, no skater has more than two goals scored.
• In five starts in net, freshman goalie Daniela Paniccia holds a 3-1-1 record, a 1.56 goals-against average, and a .949 save-percentage.
• Head coach Josh Brandwene is 43-95-17 through four-plus seasons at the helm.

• Mercyhurst hosted PSU on Feb 19-20, 2016, winning game one 3-1 and tying game two 2-2. Brooke Hartwick scored three of the Lakers five goals that weekend.

• Mercyhurst is currently on a five-game losing skid, its longest in program history (18 years)
• Hartwick leads the Lakers in points (5) and goals (3).
• The Lakers have been stout defensively this season, allowing just five goals on 39 opposing power plays and just two goals per game.

• Mercyhurst hosts another CHA conference rival in Syracuse next weekend Nov. 11-12 at Mercyhurst Ice Center.
