CHEYNEY, Pa. - The Mercyhurst women's basketball remains undefeated after pushing past Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference competitor Cheyney, 63-45, on Saturday.

Seniors Alex Artise and Natalie Piaggesi scored 12 points each in the winning effort. Angela Heintz added 11 points of her own.

Senior Jalin Steel led the team in rebounds, pulling down nine in total.Heintz dished out five assists.

The Lakers shot 12-29 (41.4%) in the first half and 10-30 (33.3%) in the second half from the field. While they held the Wolves to a 9-30 (30%) in the first half and 9-32 (28.1%) in the second half. Piaggesi led the team in shooting percentage going 5-9 (55%) from the field.

The Lakers will take the court next on Sunday with a 1 p.m. contest at Millersville.
