Box Score ERIE, Pa. -- Four different Lakers scored in double-figures as the Mercyhurst men's basketball team rolled to a 103-37 victory over Mount Aloysius in non-conference action on Friday at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.
DaJuan Dent finished with 17 points and seven rebounds while
Lorenzo Collier,
Durrell McDonald and
H'ian Hale contributed 14, 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Stephen Spurlock grabbed eight rebounds for the Lakers (1-0) while Hale and
Malcolm Walters dished six and five assists, respectively. McDonald added three steals.
Mercyhurst broke a six-all tie with 21 straight points in the first half and led the rest of the way. That streak was the beginning of a stretch in which the Lakers outscored their opponents, 33-2.
Mercyhurst shot 43 of 71 from the field (60.6 percent) while holding Mount Aloysius to a 14-for-47 outing (29.8 percent).
Darryl Sanders was the Mounties' leading scorer with 12 points.
Mercyhurst will return to action on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. non-conference game at Notre Dame (Ohio).
