Box Score SLIPPERY ROCK Pa. - Mercyhurst's field hockey team stumbled on the road as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) competitor Slippery Rock. This drops the Lakers record to 2-12 while being 2-6 in the PSAC.

Jessica Brandon was the lone goal scorer in the game for the Lakers, who put the team on the scoreboard in the second half. Brandon scored unassisted on the play dribbling into the circle and drilled a shot past the goal keeper. This is Brandon's fourth goal of the season. Goal Keeper Sam Takac also recorded two saves for her efforts in the net. 

Goal scorers from the Lion's team were Kailie Krupski, Savanna Robinson, and Megan McKay.

The Lakers will play next at home Saturday October 22nd against West Chester, at one P.M.
