ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team fell 7-0 to Penn State in the second Snowtown Throwdown at the Erie Insurance Arena on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions scored two goals in each of the first two periods and three goals in the third.

The Lakers had seven power play chances, while the Nittany Lions had nine, capitalizing on two of them.

Brandon Wildung had 36 saves. While Penn State freshman Peyton Jones finished with 20 saves.
The Lakers are back in action on Tuesday at the Mercyhurst Ice Center, when they welcome Niagara for an Atlantic Hockey contest. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
