WENTZVILLE, Mo. -- The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team suffered a 1-0 loss to Lindenwood in College Hockey America play on Saturday.

LU's Shara Jasper scored the lone goal just 4:44 into the contest and that one tally stood for the rest of the contest.

Mercyhurst goaltender Sarah McDonnell had 18 saves while Nicole Hensley recorded 35 saves and the shutout for the Lions (6-16-4, 3-5-4).

The Lakers held a 35-19 shot advantage. MU went 0-for-4 on the power play while Lindenwood was 0-for-5.

Mercyhurst (11-9-4, 8-2-2) will return to action on Jan. 29-30 with a pair of home CHA contests against Syracuse.
