Sarah Robello scored a power-play goal with 59 seconds remaining in regulation while winning goaltender
Sarah McDonnell finished with 25 saves as the Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team claimed a 2-0 victory over Lindenwood in College Hockey America play on Friday.
Robello received assists from
Lauren Kilroy and
Brooke Hartwick on her game-winner.
Jaclyn Arbour added an empty-netter with nine seconds remaining for the Lakers (11-8-4, 8-1-2), getting assists from
Hannah Bale and
Morgan Stacey.
Shots were even at 25-25. Mercyhurst went 1-for-3 on the power play while the Lions finished 0-for-4.
McDonnell's shutout was her third on the season. Her counterpart, Nicole Hensley, had 23 saves for Lindenwood (5-16-4, 2-5-4).
The same two teams will meet again for another CHA contest on Saturday, beginning at 2 p.m.
