ERIE, PA - The #8 Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team prepares to play the Edinboro University Fighting Scots this coming Saturday, April 4th. The squad is hot off of an eight game winning streak, remaining undefeated in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
The Lakers most recently defeated Seton Hill University 17-10 on Wednesday afternoon. Rebecca Himes scored 4 goals and had 3 assists in the win. Other Lakers to score goals in the contest were Mackenzie Jordan (4), Hannah Corton (3), Regan Kaestner (2), Olivia Keirn (2), Taylor Ventre (1), and Emily Gebhardt (1). Goalie, Rebecca Muscella, had 8 saves and was credited with the win.
Edinboro is 6-2 on the season, fresh off of a loss from IUP on Tuesday. The Fighting Scots outscored IUP 4-2 in the second half, but it was not enough to give them the advantage as they lost 12-9.
