Lauren Testa scored two goals in the win.
Testa started the scoring just a 1:15 seconds into the game.
Kristina Roberti crossed a pass that found
Nikki Charboneau who headed the ball to the far post where Testa poked it home for her third goal of the season.
Nicole McAlpin would score minutes later off a shot from the Roberti inside the box that was rebounded and placed past Mountain Cats net minder Leigh Appolonia for a 2-0 halftime lead.
Fawn Mullholland would assist Testa for her second goal of the game when she finished a shot off into the left corner of the net for a 3-0 Lakers advantage.
Roberti (7),
Aurelia Pleyer (1), and Mullholland (1) all added to the Mercyhurst lead in the second half as they recorded goals to increase the lead to five.
Senior
Ellie McDougall recorded eight saves for her third win of the season.
With the win, the Lakers improve to 5-3-2, 4-3-2 PSAC while Pitt-Johnstown falls to 0-10, 0-10 PSAC.
Mercyhurst will travel to PSAC foe Edinboro Wednesday, October 7. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
