ERIE, Pa. - The Mercyhurst University women's volleyball team rebounded from a 3-1 loss to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC West-rival Clarion University on Friday night to trim Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) by the same score on Saturday afternoon in a key PSAC match at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. The scores were 25-20, 15-25, 25-20, and 25-15. Mercyhurst improved to 14-12 overall and to 9-6 in the conference. IUP dropped to 15-10 and 7-8 respectively.

Haley Adams led the Lakers with 13.5 points and tied with senior
Erin Byrnes (10 points) with ten kills apiece. Senior
Lexi Stefanov contributed eight kills and 9.5 points.
Senior
Kelly Vitt registered 28 assists and junior
Samantha Giardina helped the cause with 21 digs.
The Lakers had more kills (48-35), assists (44-32), and digs (55-49). Mercyhurst also hit better, .238 to .054. IUP had more service aces (9-1) and more total blocks (10-7).
Mercyhurst will take to the road next weekend for conference games at Seton Hill University on Friday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. and California University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 31 at 1:00 p.m.
