WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team won two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover matches Saturday. The Lakers swept East Stroudsburg and West Chester in a pair of contests hosted by West Chester.
 
In the win over East Stroudsburg, Mercyhurst won by scores of 25-7, 25-19, and 25-20 to begin the day. Lexi Stefanov led with 14 points, while Lauren Kenny added nine. Kelly Vitt dished out 24 assists and Samantha Giardina posted 14 digs.
 
Against West Chester, the Lakers won, 25-21, 25-18, and 25-19. Camille Alvarez put up nine kills in the opening game and recorded 15 points for the match. Sarah Wegrzyn totaled 11 in the victory. Vitt compiled 37 assists and 12 digs.
 
The Lakers have now won eight straight matches. They improved to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in the PSAC. They host Edinboro and Slippery Rock next weekend at the MAC.
