The Lakers are 8-3 this season after winning two crossover games earlier this week. They defeated West Chester Tuesday, 72-59, at home before defeating Cheyney Wednesday, 82-70, at the MAC. Mercyhurst has won seven consecutive games entering Saturday, which begins a set of three consecutive PSAC crossover games.

Millersville is 4-7, having lost three straight road games, two of which were PSAC Western Division opponents.  They come into Saturday after both crossover games on the road to Slippery Rock, 77-49, and losing at Edinboro, 88-76, earlier this week.

Damon Jones leads the Lakers, averaging 11.9 points and 4.1 field goals made per game. The Lakers rank 4th in the PSAC in scoring defense, averaging 64.5 points per game. Gerrae Williams is second on the team in scoring (10.5), while senior James Ewing leads the squad in rebounding, averaging 6.2 a game. Teammate Sean Bins is coming off his career-high after scoring 24 points in the win Wednesday night over the Wolves.

Kelvin Parker is averaging 13.7 points per game to lead Millersville. Eddie Callendar is next with 13.6 points, as he also leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 6.6 boards a game. The Marauders were picked to finish sixth in the Eastern Division, according to the preseason coaches' poll.

Following the Millersville game, Coach Gary Manchel's squad will be off until after the New Year and resume play on the road January 2 and 3 at Shippensburg and Kutztown.
