ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team opens a three-game road trip by traveling to Millersville on Saturday, December 20. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover is set for a 3:00 p.m. start at Pucillo Gymnasium.

The Lakers are 8-3 this season after winning two crossover games earlier this week. They defeated West Chester Tuesday, 72-59, at home before defeating Cheyney Wednesday, 82-70, at the MAC. Mercyhurst has won seven consecutive games entering Saturday, which begins a set of three consecutive PSAC crossover games.
Millersville is 4-7, having lost three straight road games, two of which were PSAC Western Division opponents. They come into Saturday after both crossover games on the road to Slippery Rock, 77-49, and losing at Edinboro, 88-76, earlier this week.
Damon Jones leads the Lakers, averaging 11.9 points and 4.1 field goals made per game. The Lakers rank 4
th in the PSAC in scoring defense, averaging 64.5 points per game.
Gerrae Williams is second on the team in scoring (10.5), while senior
James Ewing leads the squad in rebounding, averaging 6.2 a game. Teammate Sean Bins is coming off his career-high after scoring 24 points in the win Wednesday night over the Wolves.
Kelvin Parker is averaging 13.7 points per game to lead Millersville. Eddie Callendar is next with 13.6 points, as he also leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 6.6 boards a game. The Marauders were picked to finish sixth in the Eastern Division, according to the preseason coaches' poll.

Gary Manchel's squad will be off until after the New Year and resume play on the road January 2 and 3 at Shippensburg and Kutztown.
