Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 EDINBORO, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team won twice on Friday afternoon. The Lakers outlasted Shippensburg in five games and also beat Millersville in four games. Both Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover matches were played at Edinboro University.
 
In an exciting win over Ship, Mercyhurst won by scores of 26-24, 23-25, 25-23, 20-25, and 16-14. Kelly Vitt dished out 57 assists, while Erin Byrnes scored 17.5 points. Lauren Kenny put up 16 points and Samantha Giardina posted 22 digs.
 
Against Millersville, the Lakers won by scores of 25-16, 25-19, 23-25, and 25-17. Sarah Puckett led with 12 points. Vitt totaled 38 assists and 16 digs. Giardina compiled 17 digs of her own.
 
The Lakers improved to 13-5 overall and 8-3 in the PSAC. They continue crossover play tomorrow at Edinboro, facing Lock Haven and Pitt-Johnstown.
