Volleyball Completes Unbeaten Home Weekend With 5-Game Win

ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team won two matches Saturday, completing an undefeated weekend at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. The Lakers beat Notre Dame College in three games and then outlasted West Virginia Wesleyan in five sets.
 
Mercyhurst took a five-game decision from the Bobcats, winning by scores of 25-15, 18-25, 25-20, 24-26, and 17-15. Sarah Vick posted 20 points (18 kills, three total blocks) and Camille Alvarez had 12 points (12 kills). Nicole Texido had 25 digs.
 
Against NDC, the Lakers won by scores of 25-14, 25-20, and 32-30. Rachel Crittle led with 16.5 points (13 kills, four total blocks). Alvarez added 11.5 points (nine kills, two aces, one total block), while Tai Lattimore posted 14 assists and 12 digs. Kelly Vitt had 16 assists and 11 digs.
 
Mercyhurst (6-4) will host eight matches next weekend, including four home contests. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover will feature four Eastern Division programs and two Western Division schools at the MAC.
