Field Hockey Set for Two Home Games This Weekend (Video)

Katlyn Heitzhaus and the Lakers will host two matches this weekend.
ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team will host two games at Tullio Field this weekend. The Lakers face Limestone on Friday, September 13, and then play #9 East Stroudsburg on Sunday, September 15.


 
The Limestone contest is slated for a 2 p.m. start, while the ESU game is slated for a noon first whistle.

Mercyhurst fell, 4-2, to #4 Millersville in the 2013 opener on September 8. Marissa Faso and Blair Pembleton both scored for the Lakers. The scored was even at 1 after 35 minutes, but the Marauders scored twice early in the second half to take control.
 
Limestone sports a 2-0 mark after beating Newberry and #6 IUP to start the season. Jill Funkhouser scored the game-winner against Indiana as the Saints picked up one of the biggest wins in program history. Mercyhurst leads the all-time series, 3-1.
 
East Stroudsburg has a 1-1 record, having beaten Merrimack and lost to Stonehill.
 
Limestone and East Stroudsburg will play a neutral site game at Tullio Field on Saturday. The match is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start.
