Women's Lax to Host Bloom in PSAC Quarterfinal Tuesday

ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team hosts Bloomsburg in a first-round Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament match on Tuesday, April 30. The contest is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start at Tullio Field.
 
Per PSAC rules, tickets will be $7 for adults and $2 for students. PSAC students with valid ID will be admitted with no charge. There are no complimentary passes for PSAC Tournament games.

Mercyhurst finished the regular season with a 12-5 record, including a 7-4 PSAC mark. Rebecca Himes leads the team with 74 points, including a team-high 35 assists. Kayla Minner has scored 46 goals, while Anna LeGrett has recorded 27 goals and 22 assists. Alisha Catalino has 32 goals and 22 helpers.
 
Bloomsburg has a 9-7 overall record with a 7-4 conference mark. Sam Mazzie paces the team with 39 goals, while Julie Falk has 36 goals and 13 assists. The Huskies have won six in a row entering Tuesday.
 
On March 30, Kayla Minner scored with 2.9 seconds left to lift the Lakers to an 11-10 win over Bloom at Tullio Field. Mercyhurst took a 10-5 lead in the second half before the Huskies rallied with five straight goals, including the tying score with 11 seconds remaining. Kyla Keefe won the ensuing draw control to Anna LeGrett, who sprinted downfield and then found Minner for the game-winner.
 
The winner of Tuesday's match advances to the PSAC Final Four to play at Lock Haven on Friday, May 3.
