ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team travels to Indiana (Pa.) and Clarion for two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division matches this weekend. The Lakers play at IUP on Friday, November 8, at 7 p.m. and then take on Clarion the next day at 1 p.m.

Mercyhurst has a 16-12 overall record and a 10-8 PSAC mark. It defeated rival Gannon, 3-1, on Tuesday, completing a season sweep of the Lady Knights for the first time since the 2005 season.
Camille Alvarez led with 17.5 points and
Sarah Wegrzyn added 15.5 points and 26 digs.
Kelly Vitt recorded a season-high 34 assists and
Nicole Texido had 27 digs.

Indiana is 11-19 overall and 7-11 in the league. The Crimson Hawks got swept by Clarion on Tuesday. Lisa Kissell led with seven points and Stephanie Kruzynski totaled six points. Lindsay Moeller dished out 22 assists.

Clarion is 28-2 overall and 17-1 in the PSAC. It is coming off a sweep of IUP after taking down Seton Hill and California (Pa.) over the weekend. Carlie Bieranowski and Emily Stewart each scored 13.5 points as Laura Subject posted 33 assists.

Rachel Crittle leads the Lakers with 317 points (224 kills, 39 aces, 95 total blocks). She is tenth in the PSAC with a .287 attack number.
Lexi Stefanov is next with 276.5 points (244 kills, 58 total blocks), while Vitt has 556 assists. Texido has compiled 477 digs this year, good for fifth in the conference.

Elizabeth Sova is the Hawks' top scorer with 335 points (275 kills, 12 aces, 83 total blocks). Lindsay Moeller leads with 698 assists, with Kelly Barnes adding 370 digs in 2013.

Stewart paces the Golden Eagles with 438 points (386 kills, 32 aces, 33 total blocks). She is second in kills in the league. Hannah Heeter is next with 327 and Bieranowski has added 318 points this season. Heeter ranks third in the PSAC with a .326 hitting percentage and Corinne Manley is fourth at .323 this year. Subject has tallied a PSAC-high 1192 assists and Morgan Seybold has 638 digs, most in the league.

Mercyhurst fell to Clarion in five games on October 11 and defeated IUP in straight games the following day.
