#10 Field Hockey Hosts #6 Bloom with PSAC Tourney Bid in Play

The Lakers will try to return to the PSAC Tournament for the first time since the 2009 season.
ERIE, Pa.- The #10 Mercyhurst field hockey team hosts #6 Bloomsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game Saturday, November 2. The regular season finale is set for a 5 p.m. start at Tullio Field.

The Lakers are 9-8 overall and 4-5 in the conference. They can clinch a spot in the PSAC Tournament with a win or losses by Indiana (Pa.) and Kutztown on Saturday. Mercyhurst last qualified for the conference playoffs in 2009.
 
Bloom has an 11-6 record, including a 6-3 league mark. It has secured the fourth seed in the PSAC Tournament and will host a first-round game on Tuesday, November 5.   
 
Blair Pembleton has 11 goals and 24 points to lead the Lakers. Meghan Smith has recorded six goals and a team-high seven assists. Kelsey Lovelace has eight goals. Jess Wess has 97 saves in 17 matches this season.
 
Felicia Domenici paces the Huskies with 14 goals and 32 points. Brittany Mathews has nine goals and six assists. Megan Eppley has started all 17 outings this year, allowing 1.29 goals per game.
