EDINBORO, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team won in four games at Edinboro Saturday night. The Lakers won by scores of 25-23, 25-15, 23-25, and 25-22 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division match.
 
Lexi Stefanov led the Lakers with a career-high 19 points (17 kills, four block assists). Freshman Sarah Wegrzyn recorded 15.5 points (13 kills, five block assists) also a career best. Kelly Vitt dished out 30 assists, while Wegrzyn and Nicole Texido each had 12 digs.
 
As a team, the Lakers hit .235 and held Edinboro to an .071 percentage.
 
Mercyhurst moved to 11-5 overall and 5-1 in the PSAC. Edinboro is 12-5 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
 
Mercyhurst plays at rival Gannon on Tuesday, October 8. The PSAC Western Division contest is set for a 7 p.m. start at the Hammermill Center.
