ERIE, Pa.- The #10 Mercyhurst field hockey team will host Kutztown in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game on Saturday, October 5. The contest is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start at Tullio Field.

The Lakers have a 4-4 overall record and an 0-1 PSAC mark. Blair Pembleton leads the team with six goals. Kelsey Lovelace and Marissa Faso have each scored four goals. Jess Wess has a 3.12 goals against average and a .661 save percentage this season.
 
Kutztown is also 4-4 overall, while posting a 1-1 record in conference play. Erin Reynolds leads the Golden Bears with six goals, while Jamie Koenig has a team-high four assists. Kayla Denlinger has started all eight games in goal, allowing 2.88 goals per outing.
 
On September 21, Mercyhurst won, 4-1, at Kutztown. KU scored first, but Faso tied the score late in the first half. Allison Brace, Meghan Smith, and Katlyn Heitzhaus each scored in the second period, leading the Lakers to a road victory.
