MILLERSVILLE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team lost, 6-0, at sixth-ranked Millersville Friday afternoon. Meghan Smith put four shots on goal in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover contest.
 
Millersville went up 1-0 in the 19th minute and then scored a few minutes later to take a 2-0 halftime advantage. The Marauders added a third goal early in the second half and then took a 4-0 lead in the 50th minute. They scored twice more in the final 10 minutes for the six-goal win.
 
Mercyhurst outshot the hosts, 8-7, in the first frame and earned 13 penalty corners. Jess Wess made 10 saves in net.
 
The Lakers play at Bloomsburg tomorrow. The match is set for a 2 p.m. start.
