Moments later sophomore Anna Legrett took a free position shot that was saved, the ball bounced back in front of the net and was scooped up by Lincoln, who marked her second goal of the game.  Four minutes later Legrett posted her first goal of the game giving the Lakers a 5-0 lead going into the last nine minutes of the first half.

The Warriors offense came alive in the final minutes of the half netting four unanswered goals making the score 5-4 in favor of the Hurst at the end of the first half.

Coming out of halftime East Stroudsburg piled on two more goals and took a 6-5 lead over the Lakers.  Not to be out done, Mercyhurst would respond with seven unanswered goals to take control of the game, 12-6.  During the seven-goal stretch both Himes and senior Kelly Palmer scored twice, each with consecutive goals.
