Hurst won, 14-10, over Edinboro in the PSAC opener on March 20.
Kayla Minner scored five goals as the Lakers improved to 3-2 in 2012. The Rock lost, 17-7, at Gannon on Tuesday night.
Mercyhurst is among those receiving votes in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll. Senior
Ally Keirn leads the team with 12 goals and 17 points.
Slippery Rock is 2-1, having defeated Belmont Abbey and Queens College in its first two contests of the season. Casey Quinn leads the team with 12 goals in 2012.
Last season, the Lakers won, 16-5, over the Rock at home. Minner scored three goals and Keirn had a goal and three assists in the victory.
