ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will make the short trip downtown to face #19 Gannon on Wednesday, February 15. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Hammermill Center.

Hurst enters the contest 11-11 overall and 9-9 in the PSAC. It lost, 65-57, at #20 Indiana (Pa.) on February 11.
Nikki Frederickson posted 16 points and six rebounds. The defeat snapped a three-game winning streak for the Lakers.
Gannon sports an 18-4 overall record and a 14-4 conference mark. GU beat Clarion, 81-60, on the road February 11. Mollie Sebald recorded 15 points and nine boards as the Lady Knights clinched a spot in the PSAC Tournament.
With four games remaining in the season, the Lakers are two games behind California (Pa.) for fourth place in the Western Division. They will need a 3-1 or 4-0 finish to qualify for the conference tournament. Frederickson, a senior, is averaging 12.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. She is also shooting 57.4 percent from the field.
The Knights are looking to maintain their second-place position in the division. They are one game ahead of #20 Indiana (Pa.). The teams appear to be on their way to a first round conference tournament matchup, but the site of the game can still be determined. Jen Papich leads the team with 15 points per game, while Caitlyn Lowe is scoring 11.5 points, having hit 61 treys this season.
Gannon defeated Mercyhurst, 57-56, at the MAC on January 18. Papich made a layup in the final seconds to pull out a road victory.
Megan Hoffman hit four three-pointers on her way to a game-high 15 points.
Dana Banda totaled 11 points and eight assists.
