CALIFORNIA, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team lost at California (Pa.) in three games Saturday afternoon. The Lakers ended the regular season with a 25-9 record and will travel to Gannon for a first-round Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament match on Tuesday, November 13.
At Cal, the Vulcans won by scores of 25-17, 25-16, and 25-11. Brandy Harris led Cal with 10 kills. Mercyhurst's stats will be available Monday. Cal secured the second seed in the PSAC Western Division and will host Clarion in a first-round conference tournament contest on Tuesday.
The Lakers won 25 matches in the regular season, marking the most since 1993 for the program. They earned the four-seed in the PSAC Tournament and will face crosstown rival Gannon on Tuesday. The foes split two matches in 2012.
